Our facilities



The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences is located in the Old Arts Building, which is easily recognised by its iconic clocktower; geographically, Old Arts is at the heart of the University of Melbourne Parkville campus.
The Graduate School provides purpose-built facilities and flexible learning environments to reflect a contemporary approach to teaching and learning. Collaborative work and social spaces enable students to network, exchange ideas and socialise with fellow students, employers and community leaders, and to build a strong cohort experience. Our facilities include:

  • Multimedia facilities;
  • Student service centre;
  • Dedicated lecture and seminar rooms;
  • Wireless connectivity;
  • Student lounge;
  • Dedicated IT facilities;
  • Study and meeting rooms.


The Graduate School has dedicated and professional staff who provide high level support and enrichment services to our graduate students.
