Overview
The Master of Public Policy and Management is the premier public policy program in Australia. For more than 30 years it has prepared students for leadership roles in Australia and internationally. It is designed for current public, private and community sector leaders and managers, as well as those wishing to begin a career in this field. The program draws upon the expertise of several professorial fellows and senior public servants from state and federal departments.
- Critically engage with contemporary policy issues, develop high level analytic skills and a deep understanding of the process of government and public sector management.
- Gain extensive knowledge of the institutions, processes and problems of modern government and policy making.
- Develop the skills necessary for advanced public sector and community sector management and policy making, including the skills to critically appreciate a range of key drivers in contemporary public policy.
- Understand governance and public management and their applications, and public sector management and its application in selective case studies.
Structure
The Master of Public Policy and Management is available as a 200-point, 150-point and 100-point program and can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis.
